Mobilisation of a road-transportable Modular Spudleg barge and an Odex Drilling Rig which was driven onto the Barge from a slipway adjacent the RNLI Station.
Supply and installation of 2No pontoon locating piles installed using the Odex Drilling Rig on the barge to provide for a Dia. 420mm Outer Pile and Inner Dia. 356mm spiggot drilled and concreted into a rock socket of 3.5m embedment into bedrock below overlying seabed overburden material.
The 2No piles were utilised by RNLI as locating piles for a new pontoon and access linkspan allowing for the safe mooring and access to the Lifeboat at Castletownbere.
